Since when did Italians stopped diving?

fyi, c ronaldo seems to have stamped out diving from his game... when was the last time you see him do this?

Catenaccio is the traditional and prefered Italian playing style. There was one point where most of the teams in Serie A favored it. To play defensive is easy, but to play a good defense isn't. Thereby lies the difference between catenaccio and the defensive game adopted by smaller teams. Its not pretty, but you got to admit that its terribly effective. A win is a win, agree?
