If I want to take a large national company to the small claims court, where do I file?

Would I file in my home state or theirs?

In many places, you can't. Corporations have to be sued in regular civil court. If you can sue them where you live, you sue them where the transaction took place, most likely, your state.

File wherever the violation or claim took place.

Most states have an online form you can fillout and file yourself. Check the County Court Clerk's website.

I would start off with the following people first:

    1. Better Business Bereau

    2. Attorney general for the state in which they reside.

-These are typically free services as long as you do not have to go to aborteration. Try this first and save the court costs. (You can do everything online).
