I should not hurt anything as long as it goes down. A whole carton, I think, would be a problem if left in the package. The tobacco will not hurt any of the plumbing sewer systems.

Everything has the possibility of accumulating in your drain lines. The drop is not much--a few degrees over ten feet--so sediment and solids can collect, just as an artery clogs.

If your house has a septic tank, then it is really bad. They can clog the drainfields and cause thousands of dollars of damage.
