Bon Jovi was their mentor this week, so they sang songs by the band. Phil sang "Blaze of Glory" and according to the judges, his opening performance was the best out of the whole season. Jordin sang "Livin' On A Prayer" which is a difficult song to sing, so this week was tough for her...she didn't do so well. Lakisha then sang "This Ain't A Love Song" and she did really well. Simon said "I can actually kiss you for that" and they did...that was a memorable Idol moment. Blake then sang his rendition of "You Give Love a Bad Name" - including his beatboxing. He took a big risk and it actually worked well. Chris sang "Wanted Dead or Alive". He wasn't bad, but it isn't as good as Chris Daughtry's version of it. Melinda sang "Have A Nice Day", and obviously she did well.
On results night, they recapped the highlights of last week (Idol Gives Back), and had messages of the other Idol winners (Ruben, Fantasia, Taylor) about donations for the charity. Robin Thicke was a guest performer, and Ryan mentioned that over 135 million votes were cast (includes last week's tally). Phil and Chris ended up going home, and Bon Jovi performed their new single, "(You Want To) Make A Memory".
