Why when someone says anything bad about Jeff Gordon they are automatically Dale JR fans?

I've often wondered that, too. Every time I make a negative post about Hendrick, people assume I am a Dale Jr. fan.

They don't realize that EVERYONE hates Gordon except for Hendrick fanboys (and fangirls).

I think a case could be made for the two of them to have the largest fan base so by percentages alone it would make sense that if someone said something bad about JG then that someone is likely a Jr fan. For me it is rather sad because there are lots of drivers and those other drivers also have fans and very little is ever posted about these other drivers. This forum seems to be mostly about Jeff G and Jr while ignoring for the most part some other very good drivers. Yes Tony Stewart gets a lot of forum time as well but it isn't with the same intensity of the Gordon/Jr posts.

Most people are fans of Jr. and the sea of red at every track usually indicates that a Jr. fan did something. Jr. fans also hate Jeff Gordon because he is better then their driver and doesn't have his daddy's talent and so forth. Jeff can drive a car and Jr. is good he just inst his dad and never will be and all he has to show for it is a few wins and thats about it besides his last name. Other then that he has no titles and Jeff Gordon has numerous and numerous wins and just everyone is jealous of him because he is so great they decide to come up with all these theories and all these stupid comments and they hate him. Yet there are a ton of people who love him so it's not like he needs the fans. Go #24!!!!

Jeff Gordon and jackass Jr are 2 of the most popular drivers in the sport today and Jeff was basically taught my dale Sr dale Sr would but Jeff in the wall every chance he had and he showed Jeff the ropes and they were friends so that is why everyone that is a Jr fan hates Jeff and Jeff's fans cant stand Jr but let the truth be told jeff is a better driver than Jr any day of the week

You ask why "Gordon Haters" are assumed Jr. fans, look at the fan base, basically if you are not a Jr. fan more than likely you are a Gordon fan and vice versa. Two drivers that have awesome credentials and teams that have been around a long time. I'd be willing to bet that there are some Kasey Kahne fans that don't like Gordon but since they are wearing red at the track and booing then they get called Jr. fans.

I think it's just a case of the most vocal sub-set of Gordon haters are Earnhardt fans (Jr and Sr before that), not that all Gordon haters are Dale Jr fans. The Earnhardt faction is not the most, but it certainly is the loudest.

Your right, there are plenty of people who hate Gordon and they all aren't Junior fans. Let's be honest here, most of this hatred stems for jealousy and resentment. Take Jeff Gordon stats and switch them with Kyle Petty's and nobody would even care about Jeff Gordon, never mind hate him. His success is what makes him a target.

Reason I think most people assume it's Junior fans is two fold. 1) Junior is the most popular driver and has the largest fan base. 2) While Jeff is disliked, he does have a large fan base. To be honest I think Gordon fans resent the fact that Junior is so popular.

Also it has been my experience as a Gordon fan, that the Junior fans will tend to vocalize there feelings about Gordon more. Usually at the rtace Junior fans will tend to say something or bust your chops, all in fun, I hope.

i'm a die difficult Earnhardt fan, yet, i'm married to a die difficult Gordon fan! bypass determine. i do no longer cheer while everybody crashes, whether i don't experience genuine undesirable while Gordon has vehicle issues (he-he), and that i does not waste a Bud to throw it at Gordon. yet i've got confidence the competition will survive with genuine driving force followers. i assume thats why i'm no longer a "team" fan. each and every from time to time it style of appears like a conflict at abode while they are racing one yet another, or its an intensive race. So in answering your question, i do no longer think of plenty will exchange with the followers! The opposition is distinctly fierce interior the stands on the races i've got been to.

I'm a Jr. fan and don't like Gordon because I can't stand to hear him talk. He sounds like he's holding his nose shut with his fingers. Other than that he is ok.

It goes back to the myth that Dale Sr and Gordon had this big on-track rivalry. I am sure there are plenty of fans who do not like him, and I am sure there are some Dale Jr fans that are ok with him. Some fans are just Chevy fans, so they pull for both of them.
