    Probably because they are spoiled...

How can you dream about anything if you already have everything?

That's easy. When everything comes easily to you you have no understanding of what it is to do without, thus, depleting the said "things" emotional value. I'll give you a question to demonstrate my point. 2 people get you something of equal value. 1 is a millionaire (relative lets say) & the other is an auntie who's lost thier job & you know she had to make sacrifices in order to get it..... which gift would you treasure the most?

We become familiar with our plenty, we take it for granted. When you don't understand need, a grateful heart is harder to maintain.

That is why I loved my time spent in Africa. They are a people who understand need, so they appreciate and value everything they have. One thing that really stood out to me was the amount of times we passed the little mud huts and saw women and children outside sweeping the dirt paths with makeshift brooms. How many of us in America sweep our kitchens once a week? And they were sweeping the dirt path. They value what they do have. I love that about the people I met!! To see need helps me appreciate my own life more.

I guess it depends on where you are standing. Some people look at others and think they have it made because they have ...........(fill in the blank) but to those in that position if they are not happy, for whatever reason, the other things they DO have simply don't seem important.

Before you "judge" someone, take a walk in their shoes, you might find out things aren't nearly as pleasant as they appear from the outside looking in.

Well, I´ll tell you my little story. I´ve always been very lucky in love.Always found a sweet guy to be with. When I got tired of them, I broke their heart and dumped them. Then along came Fernando, after 5 years of being with me, he dumped me. Said that I didn´t appreciate him. Broke my heart......badly. Being dumped and having my heart broken was probably the best thing that ever happened to me. I now appreciate my boyfriend more than anything in the world. I know what it feels like to be dumped. It´s like the others said.....When life is handed to you on a silver platter, it´s your expectation that you´ll always have it that way, and have no idea what it feels like to be without. In a world....................spoiled rotten (ok, 2 words)

Did you ever delight in the footwear your mom gave you? Or the foodstuff you ate each and on a daily basis? probable no longer as much as once you had to pay for it your self. once you place attempt into some thing, no count how small, it turns into considerable. once you place no longer something in any respect, how are you able to've any delight or appreciation?

I am guessing that its because things were handed to them they dont appreciate it. Although some people do have good hearts and give back yes there are some who are hollow inside. But I do believe hard work makes better people

When everything is handed to you throughout your life you have no apprecation for it , you get greedy and want more. Those of us that have to work for a living, scrape and save for something special appreciate it more and take better care of our personal belongings.

I think it's because they expect to be treated a certain way and that they're better than everyone else. Just my opinion.
