Two similar rectangles have sides in a ratio of 2/3. What is the ratio of their perimeters?

    if the ration of their sides is 2/3 then it can only be and it can not be any other way, that there perimeter is also in the ratio of 2/3.

    the perimeters have the same ratio as the sides, so it is still 2/3. If it was side to area, so would square both sides of the fraction, so it would be 4/9, and so on.

    similar figures have perimeters in the same ratio as their sides are...

    so the answer is 2/3

    let one rectangle have sides of length 2a and 2c and othe rectangle have sides of length 3a and 3c

    first rectangle=2(2a+2c)=4(a+c

    perimeter of the

    second rectangle=2(3a+3c)=6(a+c)

    the ratio of the two perimeters=4/6=2/3answer
