to connect your VoIP to your existing phone wires, you need to go to the NID normallay grey or white box outside of your house, and disconnect the phone company wiring (the wires comming from the telephone pole or terminal)

once your line is seperated from the telephone network, then you can just use a standard line cord to connect between any phone jack in your home, and the VoIP ATA device.

This wont work, if you are using DSL, as your DSL comes to your home with the phone wiring.. .you would need to do alittle more work to get your phone jacks to work with your VoIP service.. if you need further assistance email me..

VOIP stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol. You have to have Broadband service to support VOIP.

Normally, you would buy a VOIP signal conversion device or use a computer as a telephone running special software.

The VOIP signals end up going through the phone jack on the same two wires with DSL, but the phone jack in not converted or changed in any way, just the service with the phone company is changed, then you can hook up the VOIP device. You can also get devices that send VOIP over Cable TV wires instead of Phone Company DSL wires.
