How do I remove hard water spots from car window?

I have a 2000 Park Avenue that I purchased used. It has hard water spots on the windows and the chrome strips on the front and rear bumper. Someone suggested a brillo pad, which DID remove the spots from the chrome, but not the window. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Spray and Wash... the stuff for laundry stains will take care of that.... it's also great for hard water stains on glass shower doors.... don't even have to scrub!

Very safe, but a bit labor intensive--- Purchase POLISHING compound. It looks like cream cheese and is very gentle on paint and glass. Follow the instructions EXACTLY and do not use excessive pressure. It is safe for the glass as well. DO NOT use RUBBING compound. It looks like terra cotta. This is for a different purpose, and it is much too coarse and harsh for your paint, and will certainly scratch and scar the paint and glass. An option to both is MOTHER"S aluminum polish. This can be used for all sorts of etching in glass and paint. If the marks are just a water spot, usually water & vinegar in a 50 / 50 concentration works well, but won't take out the etching. Good Luck

50/50 mixture of vinegar and windshield washer fluid. Works great on boats. Avoid the WD-40. It will be very hard to remove.
