Should Paris Hilton serve the 45 days for breaking Probation on an Alcohol related charge?

I agree that she should serve her time. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse. Her mother, Kathy, is not setting a good example by speaking out in court at the judge or prosecutors or whomever. I would have laughed to read that her mother would serve time for contempt of court. Maybe Ms. Thing will have some time to think about her role as an icon in American culture, and her responsibility to those young admirers and fans.
Maybe, just maybe, the judge and the prosecutors have saved her life. Who knows.

Yes! If I were the Judge, she would have got 90 days. She has everything as the greatgranddaughter of Hilton and she throws it all away on lunatic antics. She could have gone to Harvard, got an MBA and then run the whole Hilton empire but NO, it is one madcap escapade after another, from being videoed in flagrante delicto to DUI. Paris is the Lola Montez of the 21st century and we know what happened to her.....Other similar characters include Anna Nicole Smith and Marilyn Monroe and we all know what happened to them....So ist das Leben fuer die dumme Menschen.

Well yes she should the maximum amount of time. This crazy party girl should learn to be more responsible. If you were to ask me the same question, but about your average joe then I'd probably say no. But it's Paris she's a ****** Hilton. She'll always ride on easy street so make her pay for once and restore the balance in humanity.

Short Answer: Yes. Absolutely.
Long Answer:
This is a good example to show the higher-class that they are not above the law, as they so keenly believe. Paris has broken the law several times before, and this might finally show her that even Billionaires must bow to the law.

Yes, absolutely. Why not. If you had a crime committed against you, you would want to have them jailed. The next time she or anyone else did what she did could have been the last time for her or the innocent bystanders. Just because she is good looking and has a "name" does not mean she is above the law. I think she should have had longer.

45 days aint ****..she should have gotten a year atleast..with a 2 year probation sentence when she gets out....obvously the judge doesnt take punishment to serious..if i was judge and somebody showed up late to my courtroom..that should be an automatic 30 day in jail stay..dont eff with me when im presiding on the stand ill tell u that much.

I agree with most the answers, she committed the crime and she will spend sometime reflecting on how she did not get away with it.
The media has overexposed these no talent whatever to the world. The real crime committed by her and the media, is making her into a role model.

SHOULD she? Dude, she doesn't have a choice! She's gonna DO it. And not in some Country Club jail with cell phones and catered food and silk prison garb.
"The Real Life"? Dude, she's about to be introduced!

yes, cause alot of people look up to her, and if she got away with it they would probably have the same sort of behaviour and not get away with it, she is a human like the rest of us why give the rich special treatment, she will continue to do these law breaking things and it will prob get worse and worse and influence alot of people
