Here is a quick rundown based on my perspective.

SS should always be Miguel Tejada. He'll play 155+ games this year and is the best overall SS in all of the majors. Consider using JJ Hardy as the Utility player for the time being while he is hitting well (and Thome is on the DL).

OF should have Vernon Wells in the starting lineup over Moises Alou---he is a good 4th outfielder for you or even trade bait for another relief pitcher.

I am not sure which "A Reyes" you have. If he is the closer for the Devil Rays, that is good. If he is the starter for the Cardinals, dump him now.

RP - You may have only one and he is not even closing now.

Brad Lidge lost his closer job to Wheeler of the Astros.

Adam Wainwright is now starting for the Cardinals and not doing as well as expected.

SP has a great deal of depth even with Carpenter on the DL.

Look to trade Pettite to a Yankee fan to pick up another relief pitcher. You need a closer very badly!

    Good Luck!

Hitting 11 It's that good other then Johnson note: alou is on the DL/ carpenter on DL

    pitching needs work 4

Put A. Reyes in RP you get more points for saves then P

Drop Hamels pick up Gil Meche rank 50 or Jeff Suppan

If Ray Durham is stll avaiable take him even thow he's old he still hit

H/AB R HR RBI SB Avg.

    146/498 79 26 93 7 .293

    to replace Johnson

Just remember he doesn't play day after night games

doesn't really matter thow with your overall line up will make up for his days off

and the line makes up for it as well and 498 AB is alot more than an average regular lineup hitter gets 350

that makes up for it two if not get ty wigginton

to play 2nd he can also play 1st 3rd and OF

and the line below is better then johnson

    in 2006

H/AB R HR RBI SB Avg.

    122/444 55 24 79 4 .275

and drop reyes P as well for anybody including James Shields TB SP, Jason Bergmann WAS SP and again Meche or Suppan

and drop lidge he's not a closer anymore for Geoff Geary PHI RP or Jon Rauch WAS RP both piched 91.1 innings last year which makes up for them not being closer's who usally only pitch 30.0 innings a year

and you'll be way on your way to the league championship

    I'll give your team a 7.7/10.0

You've got good hitting with Martinez at Catcher, Cabrera at 3rd, Sizemore in your OF, Tejada at Shortstop, Wells in your OF as well. I'd try to use either Dye/Thome as trade bait for SP, since only one of those guys will rake in the team's RBI's this season, and it's not looking like Dye will do it. Move him while u can still get good SP value for him.

You've had some tough luck with pitching so far... Sheets isn't getting the support he needs when he starts, but Capuano does, lol. Carpenter now out 3 months... yeah, you've had some bad luck w/ your pitching staff. I like Kazmir/Hamels/Hudson, and lets hope Wainwright and the St. Louis Cardinals can get themselves out of the gutters and start producing for us owners.

    GLuck!

I would say overall an 8. The problem is relief pitching. You only have Reyes (if that is the one on TB). Wainwright is a starter now and Brad Lidge lost his job and is not having a great year. Your starters are good but Carpenter is hurt. How you improve your team depends on your league scoring? In my yahoo league, you get a certain amount of points in 15 categories. In my case, like yours, i have no relief pitching. But, it only effects me in the save category so I focus on the other ones. You have a surplus of outfielders. Possibly make a trade with one of them for some pitching. Most importantly, look for free agents. Sometimes other teams give up on players too soon. Be patient and you'll find you player.

It's a solid 7, but if you want to get at the top of the league you might want to get a little more starting pitching and some extra offense in the bench just in case one of your key players goes down on the DL. Your bullpen looks pretty good, I suggest getting a set up man that can be a closer to cover up on those saves if the closer goes down. Besides that, you got a good staring 9 and some solid outfielders, good luck and keep it up, stay up to date on the league!

I would try and upgrade your RELIEF PITCHING. Plug Tejada, Wells, Dye into your STARTING LINEUP. Trade some pitching away for a reliever. Pretty decent team though.
