when i turn my camera on, it takes me to a screen that says card setup, with 2 options, power off or format?

what does that mean? if i choose power off, the camera turns off, if i choose format it says yes or no, if i say no it takes me back to the card setup screen if i say yes, it will erase everything. im not sure what to do, it seems that my only choice is to choose yes, but will it really erase all my photos? should i try printing out the photos before saying yes? what should i do? any help would be appreciated.

    upload the pictures first

use your camera usb cord or card reader

    if that won't work

go to yahoo search and type photo rescue

download the pics onto your computer and then reformat the card (choose yes). it should be ready for the next time you want to take some photography!
