    the presence or blessing of Jesus was already a gift, and He gave more by turning jars of water into wine, the best wine, this was His first miracle.

    The first wedding present, I believe was a place to stay for a while... that being the Garden of Eden.....

    But, Old Testament, eludes that the gifts given to a husband and wife were often animals.......

    First present was when God gave Adam, Eve.

    Between Adam and Eve. Each of them was chosen by God to accompany his/her partner; not human choice!
