Indianra'ses back Indian politics were based on ideology either capitalism or nehru branded socialism,votes were also polled on the same basis. the traders community, brahmins used to vote for the janasangh and the workers to the communist party and Muslims, the daliths,and other obcs to the congress party. . at that time corruption was limited only at lower level. now the whole scenario changed. rajiv Gandhi did two blunders, one in sabano case and another in permitting silanyas in ramajanma bhumi with a view to lure the votes of both communities. his mother Indira Gandhi promoted Sikh terrorism and was shot dead by them. vp singh radicalized the Indian politics by opening the lid of pandora's box mandal commission recommendations, due to which the hitherto neglected backward castes came into power. kanshi ram also to some extent changed the Indian political map by consolidating the daliths votes in favor of BSP., .the ironical fact is the bsp, who criticized the bjp as manuvadis had to collaborate with it for power and did not denounce the killings of innocent Muslims in Gujarat. now the communists could not stand on their legs, they have to use the crutches of either the congress party or other splinter groups. the bjp,whose parent organization, the RSS which never participated in Indian independent struggle,communalised the Indian politics and became no 1 corruption *** communal party. its sole agenda is to divide the country on religion basis. NOW , SOME PEOPLE ARE GETTING FAT SALARIES, AND MOST OF THEIR BROTHERS STARVING DUE TO POVERTY. INDIA IS SHINING TO THE PEOPLE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND SUFFERING TO THE FARMERS.NOW IT IS HIGH TIME FOR THE EMERGENCE OF A PARTY WHICH SHOULD BE LEFT ORIENTED AND AT THE SAME TIME NATIONALIST.INDIA NEEDS A POLITICAL PARTY, WHOSE IDEOLOGY SHOULD BE A GOOD MIXTURE OF MARXISM, LOHIA VICHAR MANCH, AND GANDHISM. other wise the future of India is bleak.

Current Politics In India

The boundaries separating the branches of government at the federal level in the US has become very blurred. Congress has delegated away a lot of power to the executive branch over the years, and the current administration is using that to its advantage. Moreover, the majority party in Congress lacks the guts to reign in control of this "operation" overseas.

There are too many baseless attacks on the judiciary. First, there is no such thing as judicial activism; that's a buzz word thrown around by a person who opposes the ruling handed down by the bench. In fact, the judiciary might be the only branch of the three that is currently performing its job as the founders intended. Secondly, there needs to be more moderates on the Supreme Court. Allowing Justice Kennedy to control so many cases because he is the only moderate essentially negates the need for the other 8 justices. The same happened with Justice Powell.

Biased talk radio is brainwashing people. First, it sends a message that if a person changes his mind about an issue, he's weak. Secondly, it encourages people to take stances on issues without understanding that position or the opposing side's position.

Finally, blindly voting for a candidate based on name or party affiliation must come to an end. Uninformed voters will ruin any country, but particularly the US because it is so overwhelmed with ignorant masses who have no desire to put forth the effort in researching which candidate might actually best represent their position. Some people, upon hearing the phrase "He's a Republican" or "She's a Democrat" close their minds and refuse to listen to any more details concerning that candidate. Though this is somewhat influenced a great deal by the media, it is ingrained in some people by their peers and parents.

Dr. Samuel Johnson said that "politics is the last refuge of a scoundrel!" That was inthe 18th century. In the nineteenth century India, eminenet lawyers, literateures,social workers,labour leaders and landlords became politicians.But in independent India, the opportunities offered by the adult suffrage let one and all to become politicians.As years rolled by and devaluation of higher values became the order of the day,politics became the safest refuge for criminals and moneybags.

In the greatest democracy of the world,the party wins, not the candidate! The leaders gloat but men of money and muscle rule the roost!

Thanks to the Election Commisssion. recently,the dramatis personnae in the election dramas have discovered that their

tactics of bolstering up the electorate rolls, capturing booths,

scaring away genuine voters and falsely voting by goondas, would not help any more . Ballot paper has been replaced by

EVMs and central police and army is pressed into service to ensure fair elections.

If this trend continues and the unwanted get away from the central stage, genuine democracy will flourish and politics would be pure and glorified.

Politics at present is like seesaw game. Grab as much as you can when you are up and pass the bucks on others when you are down. Most of the present day politicians have no sense of morality or responsibility== their only aim is to keep afloat by whatever means they can think of.

Today's Congress is ... Sanctimonious, free-spending, convenience over conscience, untouchable, for sale, self-serving, bought their way in, and disconnected and dis-concerned from and with the reality of many if not most. Actors, liars, speakers of non-committal gibberish, Snake Oil sales people, two faced or more, whose ego's see a Saint ... with the help of self-deception ... and we can't even stop them before their terms are up, or it, because we've allowed them a trusting free reign for so long, and they've used it to secure themselves and their personal enrichment, and only work badly and slowly when called to the carpet except when calling a recess, or accepting another pay raise. Knowing they have a free pass for life once elected, their instant gratification, compels them to virtually retire after saying "I do". Other than that, They'rrrrrrrre GREAT

Well, it is normal for to opposing political parties to go at each other. The difference now is that they are doing it much earlier than normally they do. The American people are the ones suffering because our Government is at a standstill because of all the rhetoric in politics and no action. Hopefully they can take a break on their campaign for office in 2008 election to help run our country without political bias.

Always the same. Our ability to confront people we disagree with or those who insult us has been diminished by 'written laws'. By that, I mean that our elections today aren't quite the same as periods in the past, when people might end up in a duel if they dared some of the insults of our time - and 'law enforcement' allowed the 'people' to keep the docket slim by settling their differences like men. Even though the politics of the past were every bit as contentious, they tended to be a bit more 'gentlemanly' due to the possible ramifications of facing the individuals that they might offend in the process.

Sorry to say but it is sad state of affairs. No one in politics are concerned about people, country, their duties towards society but are fighting for their self greed & money. Only a few persons who you can count on ur hand & I really mean that are honest, committed to their responsibilities.

Politics like WAR is a disease that the world cannot afford or even desires! When we rid this world of both we shall find a Heaven on Earth!
