Uk Adsl server capped?
i have been capped on my broad band with pipex should get upto 8mb only getting 1.54mb max anyone know the law on terminating this contract ?

Don't know this particular one - do you have a link to it?
In general, if you have a written contract, if either side breaks it the other can terminate. So if they are breaking the contract by not providing what you are paying for you can terminate.
You need proof, of course. And you also need to contact them about the issue to see if they will just fix it.

have you tried to contact Pipex and tell them that this is happening. it might be that you can only get 1.5mb on your line (i have a 24mb connection but the max i can get is 7 - 12mb).
if you do want to cancel a contract then it dose take time. i had to spend about 1 month trying to cancel a contract with a bradband company.
1. they had to test the line. then they had to get BT to test the line.
2. then they check there side to see if there was a problem and then got BT to check my exchange.
3. they could not find falut refunded me the money for that month and canceled the contract.
i also send a letter to ofcom and they told me to wait from them to finish the test on the line and if they find a falut then they would have to fix it or cancel my contract.
