OCD is a B!+ch, i have it, believe me he doesn't want to be like that, he knows what he's doing is abnormal, but it's really really hard to stop. Effexor and Zyprexa have helped me handle it better, if I forget to take it. I will clean for hours and hours. I will organize cupboards, clean closets, scrub floor boards, rearrange things. If his meds aren't helping I would suggest going on different ones. What is he on now?
Source(s): Oh and yes OCD does make you be a real B!+ch, I flip out and ignore my husband if there is anything out of place. (Only when not on meds) I'm still moody but not like before. - Austins MomLv 61 decade ago
Have YOU been to a Dr, or put on meds??? While that sounds funny, having a support group, an outlet for venting like a counselor, or having anti-anxiety meds, might be needed for you as well. You are dealing with something that is a difficult disease, and while your support is needed from him, you also need support of your own. Find someone to talk to, pastor or counselor, or go to an ocd website and look for support groups. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Hun, if you are numb to him and dont want sex and he is seriously getting on your nerves THAT much, then its over. Im sorry and I do not want to be mean or rude, but I think you should move on. If he is on medication and has been to counselors, then its only going to get worse the way he treats you.
I have OCD. OCD does NOT make you treat others bad. He might be a neat freak, but that is no excuse for rude behavior.

I was married for 10 years to somebody like this. It was a miserable existence, to say the least.

well...did you know about his disorder before you married him?
he should be under psychological treatment if he has officially been diagnosed...you may want to ask him can you attend some of his counseling sessions with him to help you in adjusting to his diagnosis, (actually, his counselor should be asking for your attendence).
if he is refusing treatment or not seeking treatment that's the first step, then encourage him to allow you to participate, for the growth of y'alls marriage...
best wishes....that is a tough situation...

Get a divorce, there is no hope, if the meds do not "fix" him, and he is loony without them, nothing will work. "Sexual side effects" are very common with anti depressant drugs, that means unable to get it up in men, and loss of desire, and ability to orgasm in women, that is a cold hard fact.

He needs to be visiting a psychiatrist. That's a medical doctor for mental illnesses. If you can't take it anymore separate from him for a while.....
