Dryer squeaks when being ran............would that be the belt?

Most squeaking comes from either the pulley or the rollers in the dryer. The belt is made of rubber and cant squeak.

Not the belt. I would guess the rollers or in my case I had a bad nylon bushing. It cost me a couple bucks from an appliance parts store and it was up and running again.

Yes it does sound like it will be the belt, and this is fairly easy to replace if one is handy. If not call in a repair man
