Freshwater Angelfish: Koi or Marble?

I bought a juvenile freshwater angelfish (a little smaller than a quarter) and I'm trying to tell if it's a Marble with not too many spots, or a Koi. Does the marble have the reddish tinge to the gills? Mine does. Are there any other identifying characteristics? Thanks!

Reddish tinge on gill cover indicates a Koi Angel. It's really just symantics, though since both are really just man made color variations of the same species.

Some people call the red on the gills a Koi, some say that the red or orange must also be present in some other place on the fish to call it a Koi. As another said, it's all symantics anyway, they are all P. scalare when you get down to it.

ok, I easily have an angelfish, and he or she is fairly cool, calm and picked up, inspite of the incontrovertible fact that, i became fortunate, some angelfish tear different fish to shreds in the event that they are able to. The angelfish being two times as super simply by fact the different 2, could probable get fairly territorial, and kill them, yet whilst there is lots of hiding places in the tank, and the rainbow fish and dwarf gourami do not flow close to the angel's territory, then it will be super, inspite of the incontrovertible fact that I advise including the different 2 fish first, THEN, a pair of week later, the angelfish, simply by fact the angel ought to be conscious of tht there are others there, and locate her place. I additionally advise getting each and all the fish whilst they are smaller so that they strengthen up jointly and get used to a minimum of one yet another! wish this facilitates... P.S. Plus my angelfish is small, so she would be waiting to additionally strengthen with my guppies and neon tetras as they become older jointly, so actual decide for it!

Marbles can have a reddish tinge, but so can a lot of fish. It sounds like a marble to me.
