The difference between a liberal & a conservative is...?

Conservative-give a family of poor people a goat and teach them how to fish. When enough of them have goats, they can breed the goats and start a business of selling milk and cheese so they will rise above being poor. They will eat the cheese and drink the milk and eat fish as they are preparing to start their business. When they vote, they can vote for who they think is the best candidate.

Liberal-give all the poor families milk and cheese every day and warn them that the mean old conservatives are not helping them and that they had better vote for the liberals if they want to continue getting free milk and cheese.

And a True Conservative is the sucker who did the deed!

Conservative: don't help anyone except for me an my rich friends. Keep religion out of government unless it's my religion. Don't give anyone rights unless they look like me.

Liberal: Help those who need help. Keep all religion out of government. Give everyone equal rights.
