IT is pretty easy. While the ball is bowled and is just about to bounce you must press 's' while holding the shift key(keep it pressed)If the batsman is a slogger then it will go for a six, if he is not then it will probably go for a four or he may get caught!

Well it requires a bit of practise and I will give you the best way of hitting 4s or 6s.

When the ball is bowled and it is about to drop on the pitch, press the following key combination in a split of a second.

left-up arrows-shift-s.You are pressing shift to give the ball the slog. Now after practising this you could find out that the ball easily evades the fielders during fielding restrictions and rushes to the boundary before 3rd man can get to it.This is the most effective way of hitting a boundary or a six.

Let me enclose various types of shots which i have found out over here.

The controls are as follows for Cricket 2005 (Windows):

    Batting (right handed)

    Front foot

    foward defence, s

    on-drive, s + down and right

    off-drive, s + down

    cover-drive, s + down and left

    square-drive, s + left

sweep, s + right and up

    leg glance, s + right

nudge to off side, s + left and up

reverse sweep, s + left, up and shift

    Back foot

    backward defence, w

on-drive (back foot), w + down and right

    off-drive (back foot), w + down

cover-drive (back foot), w + down and left

    pull/hook, w + right and up

    cut, w + left

late cut, w + left and up

backwards leg glance, w + right

pull in air, w + right and shift

    leave, a

advance down the pitch, d + front foot shot

hit ball for six, left shift on keyboard (WARNING!!!. Extreme risk shot)

    run, d

    abandon run, a

    dive for crease, w

    Bowling

select which ball and move the area you want the ball to land with arrow keys. When suitable area selected press the type of ball you want to bowl to confirm eg. s if you bowled a normal ball or d if you bowled option d. for spin and swing use arrow keys to select an appropriate amount.

    Fielding

    run, arrow keys

    throw to keeper, w

    throw to bowler, s

    dive, d

I WOULD REQUEST YOU TO PRACTISE THESE SHOTS AT THE NETS UNTIL YOU ARE CONFIDENT ENOUGH OF PLAYING IT.

It would fetch you good rewards!

    Hope it helps.Good Luck!!

Just use the practice option and slowly get better at your timing

although u should be swinging just before it comes to u.

it is quite easy babes. when the bowler bowls press the 's' button + shift key+ arrow keys of any direction. if we want the backfoot shot we should press 'w' + shift key + direction key.
