Violation of guidelines?

.

Question: Should homosexuals go to prison?

Deleted Answer: Does Mummy know you are on the internet bothering grown-ups?

Oddly enough, the question itself is still online.

What's the silliest violation notice you have had this week?

.

.

Update:

Also odd is that the girl who threatened to "STAB AND GUT" me [her caps] - is still online, and Yahoo have yet to do anything about it other than ask me twice to copy the email to them.

Update 2:

UPDATE:

unclefrunk: I think ridiculing stupid questions is fair enough.

Lipstick: What makes you think I am homophobic, sweetie?

.

Update 3:

UNCLEFRUNK:

a fair point ... but sometimes I just can't be bothered.

And I still fail to see which guideline I am violating - is there really one about taking idiots seriously?

Update 4:

KEDAR:

A couple of "Knee-jerk Reactions" would definitely slur the words on a screen - LOL

Unfortunately neither her e-mail or IM are open, so I can't ask her what she thought she read.

Surprisingly, I haven't yet received one this week - and I've gone on an answering spree!!

But the violations do seem to get more and more ridiculous!

I feel kinda hollow inside, now that you've pointed out what's missing in my life... *sniff*

The trolls cloning ''Just A Guy" are still jogging all over Yahoo Answers. But I am sent violation notices for simply responding to many of the questions by saying that the poster is a clone.

I also got a violation notice recently for simply asking "Why" in response to a question. But I can't remember what the question was.

I haven't had any for a while. Try and avoid oblique answers (you know this!) and look at the question in it's purest form. I would have cause to agree with you had you simply answered "No."

As it is, whoever the saddo that reported you, they did have some justification.

The funniest thing I've seen on Yahoo! is this blog entry (below) from the UK&IE Answers Team. Fancy trying to justify the Community Guidelines...!

EDIT: I have no problem with your ridiculing silly questions - I was just suggesting you should ridicule them while *answering* them (explicitly). e.g.

    Q. Do you think that all gays should go to prison?

    A. No I don't [think that all gays should go to prison]! Does your mummy know...

That way, you have a chance of reversing any violation that might be applied. I *do* have (y)our interests at heart here. I'm suggesting we pay the CGs as much lip service as is required to keep ourselves from getting suspended (as has happened to so many *good* people, of late).

Asking in the incorrect area isn't a violation, except performed distinctive situations and intentionally. besides the undeniable fact that, merely giving an answer that the question is in the incorrect area, is often a violation. that's a remark, not an answer.

Question: do you go to the swimming pool just to hang out in the girls change room?

Question Details: TROLL/ CLONE = REPORTED

Question: why do all the men that i have tried to be with say that iam ugly?

Question Details: TROLL = REPORTED... both the poster of the question and the second answerer.

Question: do you get you kicks out of being rude to people and reporting people for no reason?

Question Details: TROLL/CLONE = REPORTED THE KICKS YOU GET ARE TO CLONE GOOD USERS OF THIS YAHOO! PRODUCT!

(All three of these were reported by the same troll who was cloning "Indy T" although I was within Community Guidelines of being "a good Community Citizen" )

The violation guidelines it seems are arbitrary and inconsistent. I've only gotten 2 or 3 and I can't remember what for -- it's just Y!A -- it's not like getting a one ruins my day...

I was reported for a spelling error last week. A "typo".

The offensive word was " haven't". (I left out the apostrophe)

I stripped off all my clothes and boiled oats in angst ! I've since recovered.

To a question recently that had a lot of smiley characters, and hearts in it, i just replied what's with the smileys and hearts??? and I got a violation.

I haven't gotten one yet this week. *knocks on wood*

I guess people aren't reading their responses. I expected to be reported for a few of mine.
