Quad Testing?
I have a doc. appt. today and she is going to want to know if i want to have the quad test done. I didn't have it done with my son (he is fine) but am thinking about getting it done with this one. How many of you have had it done and it be accurate? I'm afraid it will say something is wrong with my baby and it not be anything wrong when its born. Any info/input on it would help me make my choice. thanks!

Like you, I did not have the quad test with my first child. This time though, I am 38 years old and decided to have it. It came back abnormal. I went for genetic counseling and then decided to have the ultrasound and amnio. They both came back normal. It was scary, but I would rather know if there are issues before I deliver to help me to mentally prepare for the obstacles that may lay ahead... good luck!

I have to say I had the quad screen test and it was negative. I was real concerned because my NT Scan came back 1-15 for downs. I also had a level 2 ultrasound where the doctor indicated there were no markers for downs. With the combination of everything I didn't get an amnio. I am due in Oct so don't know if there will be anything wrong but with the combination it gave me piece of mind.
