In order to open PDF files, your computer has to have Adobe Reader installed.
Here's the link where you can download Adobe Readers from its official website for free.

Perhaps you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader. It is simply a reader & does not allow any editing in the document. PDF editors are available for this purpose, you can download from internet. Try to download one from
