How can I measure how much downloading I do?
is there anyway to check how much is downloaded not using isp ?I have an isp who loves to charge me extra and the 15th of every month now I get an excess usage bill with hardly any use.I have windows xp home edition.any ideas?

Get NetLimiter. It will show you how much you have downloaded per day, week etc. It also shows you the current Upload/Download rate, and you can limit certain programs bandwidth allowance.

Get Tiscali Broadband. It doesn't charge extra unless you go millions over download rate. It is £9.99 a month for the cheapest package. You shoukdn't be paying all that extra when there is no need.
