NASA study: Eastern U.S. to get hotter?
said atmospheric scientists Barry Lynn and Leonard Druyan of Columbia University and NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies.
"Unless we take some strong action to curtail carbon dioxide emissions, it's going to get a lot hotter," said Lynn, now a scientist at Hebrew University of Jerusalem. "It's going to be a lot more dangerous.
Is this not enough proof for neocons to believe this is a real threat? ( or will they keep to their pseudo beliefs like Bush is a great president?)

It is sad that rather than conserve and help the environment, the nay-sayers would rather gripe about the reality of global warming.
Whether or not they support the theory of global warming, they should be more conscious of the damage that we do to the environment and do their part to change that.

Oh give me a break the global warming people always come out of the wood work just before summer.. they are the "experts" to tell you that we will have hot weather in summer... you don't need any experts to tell you summer is hot!!! Let's stop worshipping the experts and try common sense. The world has cold summers and hot winters on rare occasions. Weather is not an exact science or have we all forgotten the 2005 predictions for the 2006 hurricane season was going to be disasterous...that was totally wrong. They don't know they only predict and guess.. their guesses are as good as anyone else's if the media would stop worshipping these doomsayers the majority wouldn't be so paranoid.

atmospheric scientist?!!!...please find yourself 3 respectable climatologists (that's correct, scientists that study climate and climate change for their life's work) that agree with what your question/comment states and you would see what you are saying, regarding carbon emissions has nothing to do with our warming world. our world always was going to warm because of the way climate works...no matter what we do, even if we reduced emissions even to zero...the earth would still get hotter until it dropped again...all by itself...nothing to do with us...in the 70's there was mass panic that the earth would get colder and colder and the same alarmists said the same thing the al gore crowd are saying now...expect, we were meant to be freezing...
please be serious...just because u scare people and get more funding by scaring more people and making more ludicrous non science based facts than real scientists, that doesn't make you legitimate science...
please look it up and see real science...also look up the records of the earth's temperatures that actually dropped constantly for 3 decades after the invention and mass application of factories, automobile, jet aircraft and fossil fuels as a primary source of industry...
and i agree bush's best job wasn't as president , and no... taking any strong action will not change any natural earth cycle...2 nasa(agenda based) scientists is not proof enough of anything...also...
the warming of the earth has more to do with the cycle of the sun and sun spots and the waves it releases rather than anything we do...the exact patterns of sun patterns match up with the warming and cooling of earth(from real climatologists)...not alarmists or agenda based scientists...even the co-founder of greenpeace (the largest green group) in the world has said carbon emissions being responsible for global warning is an agenda based non-science...

The EPA believes global warming is a real threat, and even Bush has "acknowledged" it . Global warming should not be a political issue, but because a Democrat, Al Gore, speaks about it, the neocons just go crazy. They'll believe anything a neocon pundit will tell them.

I would say that most people (supposed neo-cos included0 believe the Earth is getting warmer. The cause is where the dispute lies. Since the vast majority of carbon being released into the atmosphere is not man-made there is little, if anything, we can do to slow it. We need to anticipate what this may cause and work to minimize any negative impacts. Personally, I like the idea of warmer weather.

Even if the earth's temperature has increased slightly, the increase is well within the natural range of known temperature variation over the last 15,000 years. Indeed, the earth experienced greater warming between the 10th and 15th centuries - a time when vineyards thrived in England and Vikings colonized Greenland and built settlements in Canada.
they Have found Forests under the receding Greenland Glacier believed to be only 900 years old Hmmmmm.
All Natural....

Well considering that Fossil Fuel Power Plants are the largest source of green house gas's.
Will the left now let us build nuclear power plants that don't produce green house gas's ???
Considering that nuclear power is the only viable alternative to replace the fossil fuel power plants we now rely on.
Alternative energy sources are great, but none can replace the power generated by fossil fuel plants, except nuclear plants.
Or do you want to keep pumping green house gas's into the atmosphere and hope that reseach some how comes up with a viable alternative ?

Records of naturalists dating back 50 years, indicate that spring now arrives 6 days earlier in the midwest than it did 40 years ago.
The growing season for many crops has shifted by the same amount of time.

I believe they are the same ones who predicted the past two years would be hotter when it was actually cooler.

Who cares, when it gets so warm the Vikings can go back to Greenland, and continues to get hotter I will worry, till then.......
