Keep in mind that Mitus does not just make cars. They make a LOAD of heavy industry equip and are a huge company over seas. A radiator is a relatively simple piece of tech. Mitsu is not going to loss tech or money over selling this equip to others. GM also doesn't have to use their own R&D, nor have the costs of manufacturing their own rads for the Uplander either. Mitsu will make money selling the product and GM saves money. The gains are on both sides of the fence and therefore do not hurt Mitsu, they actually help fund the company further.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is a huge manufacturing concern, they don't just make cars. They make all kinds of parts for many different vehicle manufacturers from sound systems to alternators and starters to, well, radiators.

Besides, I don't think GM has any concerns about Mitsubishi - a company that sells as many vehicles in the U.S. in one year as GM sells trucks in 1 week.

Ha! The van was probably built in Canada or Mexico!

  • from the reaction you have given about the rad i think you would be surprised to find out how many Asian parts are actually on North American cars and how many of those cars are actually built in an Asian country(i.e.Japan, China,Korea,etc.................)
