We both need the 12-step process. I'm right there with you! Sometimes I think that they must have some evil subliminal message that flashes as we look at questions and answers that causes us to keep coming back because, yes, I am here every day.
Yes, I admit it, I am a Yahoo addict! I used to have a life. I would only log on now and then. It took me 6 months to accumulate 10,000 points and reach Level 6 even though I get a fair number of "best answer" awards because I try to be thorough, informative and at least semi-interesting.
Then, March 17th, I reached Level 6 and became obsessed with seeing just how fast I could reach Level 7. Now my dog is ready to divorce me; my family and friends are planning an intervention; and I'm here wondering what I can do to score a few more "best answer" awards. Sad, isn't it? Because I already made it to Level 7! But I got addicted trying to get off Level 6 and now I’m hooked. I can't stop even though I got to level 7. It's like "Gee, if I get a few more 'best answer' awards then I can reach 50,000 points!"
Some people have a monkey on their back, we have a Yamster! Tenacious little rodent!

For awhile I was just a casual user....I asked a few questions, and if I had some bored time I answered a few....I walked away for awhile....then I wanted to research something "just once" so I used again....then I kept having to "look things up" just to kill a little time....pretty soon I was on every day. I kept telling myself I could stop anytime I wanted to. But I found myself making excuses as to why my husband couldn't use the computer....now here I am, a full-blown addict. I don't even watch tv anymore, and myspace has lost its charm.....it's Yahoo!Answers, or it's nothing. And it's every day. They say the first step is admitting you have a problem. Maybe someday I will get the help I need.

I am addicted to Yahoo!Answers, the same way I was addicted to television. I now sit for hours on end in front of my PC, whereas I would set for hours on end in from of the boob-toob.
Sigh. Yahoo!Answers is more fun because it is InterActive.

Me, addicted? No, I can quit anytime I want to. I just don't want to. I'd be lost without this place, I need the company of all the YA folks!

Y/A is just one of many addictions I have. Answering your questions is another. ♥

Not at all. I am here only between sleep and going to work. I can stop coming here anytime I want.
(Sounds familiar? ALL alcoholics and drug addicts say the same about themselves)

It started out innocently enough. . .but it has turned into a raging addiction. I just can't stop. No twelve step program will help me now.
