Are there serious dangers related to anal sex?
I asked this once before and got only 2 answers that didnt help me much. My husband and I enjoy it immensely but Im scared of rupturing something or whatever else could happen. My Mom says it causes cancer, but she says everything causes cancer (god love her). Im just curious. If this is the case then I will stop ASAP!!! Thanks in advance for your answers.

Serious injuries from anal sex are relatively rare; however, if you have internal pain or see blood, you need to see your health care provider. Here are some of the potential complications of anal sex:
Pain and bleeding can also occur when there's a small tear in the lining of the anus called an anal fissure. Even small fissures can be pretty painful because they often cause spasms of the opening of the anus. They heal slowly because they're irritated repeatedly during bowel movements. With anal fissures, you may also see blood on toilet paper or on the stool itself.
A rare, but serious, complication after anal sex is a hole (perforation) in the colon. This dangerous problem requires hospitalization, surgery to repair the hole, and antibiotics to prevent infection. A colonic perforation will usually cause fever and severe pain and pressure in the abdomen. This condition requires immediate medical attention, either through your health care provider or your local hospital emergency department.
If there is blood it could have been from a hemorrhoid, which is a swollen vein in the anal area. Hemorrhoids can be fragile and prone to bleeding, although they don't usually cause the kind of you think. You can frequently feel a hemorrhoid as a swollen, tender lump in the anal area. You'll often notice blood from a bleeding hemorrhoid on toilet paper after a bowel movement, or on the stool itself.

The membrane inside the rectum is VERY thin. It does tear easily. There is a risk of bleeding blows or blood poisoning, this is rare.
If done in access your sphincter will no longer close properly, this will cause anal leakage. Just check out any porn site, you'll see some poor woman with an anus about 3 inches wide, just opened up like its normal.
If done to REAL excess, you can wear away the septum between your rectum and vagina and well, then it would all be one in the same...
On average, no there is no real danger. I wouldn't do it every night of the week mind you.

As long as you and your husband do not have sex with anyone else you will not catch an std. As long as your husband is gentle with you you will be fine. If he is rough and you bleed I don't mean a little blood like from having a hard poop I mean lots of blood then that is not good. So be gentle you take the lead on when he can go all the way in and how hard , how fast and you should be fine.

Hi sweety, the best way to have safe anal sex, is when you and your husband begin, ask him to insert a well lubricated finger inside you first, for about five mins, before he penetrates you.
That way he will make your anal muscles relax before he enters you, when he actually does try and take it slowly ie, a little bit at a time, until you feel able to take it all, but above all, use plenty of lubrication.
Enjoy and don't feel bad, me and my partner do it all the time !

If you are going to catch an STD anal sex is a sure way to do it. The small tears that it causes are just a gateway for little buggers to get in.

It does not cause cancer!
But you can get some tears/infection if you dont do it carefully
