Why did the writers of the Bible blow their stacks so much? Is it ancient road rage?

The jewish text - the OT - is brimming with venom. It is a kind of warped literary monstrosity dominated by sheer hatred of humanity. I do not find this to be true of the Christian text,the NT,which is filled with love,compassion and forgiveness. You fail to realize you are dealing with two diametrically opposite religions when you look at the two parts of the Bible. I'm a Christian and I've felt since my youth the OT should be dropped as an exceedingly unhealthy influence on Christians. Or anyone.

They wanted to scare people into worshiping they way THEY wanted you to worship. Their intention was to scare the c**p out of you...leave you literally on your knees begging for mercy.

Because they are HUMAN. Not divine. Not annointed. Fakes and liars.
