Find out what her hobbies are. Cooking? Then some food or exotic spices. Knitting? Take her yarn shopping or buy her some yarn you find. Or knitting books, needles. Gardening? Buy her some bulbs, it's spring now and best time to plant them for summer blooms. Or a rare plant that will thrive in ur region. Reading? Buy her a book or a gift certificate. Makeup? Get her one of those lotion/makeup/perfume sets at bloomingdales or macys. Or take her on a spa weekend. Before, I use to bring over some kind of dessert like pie, cake, donuts or wine whenever I visit. It's something small but we all get to try out something new after dinner everytime. Good luck!

Plants are really nice. Also you could try, instead of buying her something when you visit your boyfriend, to make some nice truffles or cookies. Its a lot more personal than buying her a gift.
