According to the Toyota bulletin EL011-00 "Daytime Running Lights (DRL), is not required by the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards for safety compliance, it has been listed as a safety feature in advertising brochures."

Not legally. Daytime Running Lights are a safety feature, and it's against the law to disable a safety feature in an automobile.

The simplest way is to pull the fuse, unless the fuse also controls something else...

take the headlights out, and never drive with headlights again. it might be kinda exciting, esp at 2am in a forested area......let me know how it turns out, or if u survive.
