Im not sure how to explain it, as im a graduate. my only experiences have been during practical work and club society work. To make it worse, i dont get when they ask what was my role within the team... i suppose im just a lil stressed.

Being a team player = do you have the ability to work well with others in a team concept! YES! You have been in competitive environments and working with others in social groups, school, sports, right? Your role is simply to be a "Value-Added" "Contributor" to the team in the achievement of their assigned goals. Don't stress out they just want to see and read how you think? Hope this helps. You'll get the job and go for the job that you will be happy in and have fun! Play to WIN! Well to start. A team leader is some one that can work well with other people and be able to lead people. For example: A safety team leader would be able to teach people how to be safe in their job.

In you club society work did you head any fund raisers or anything like that?

Does the application give you an area to explain?

If you are not sure, don't answer it.

    Hope this helped you.

role in the team - did you lead the team, were you a team member, or were you a support person? (coach, player, bat boy?)

team experience could be as a member of a sports team, on a team for volunteer/church work, completing a project at work that involved other people, etc. anything that gets accomplished by more than one person can constitute teamwork.

They want to know if you are able to join a team and work with everyone and listen to others ideas and present yours and compromise and do things their way and not yours. Can you get along with others at work even if you do not like them personally. Personal opinions of others do not belong at work - you work with "those" people anyway. That is a team player.

They are trying to establish whether you can work as part of a team, and what type of player you are, ie a leader or follower. Use your experience to answer this question, ie, "I was always an integral part of the team at such and such, and was valued for my problem solving abilities" etc.

Being a team player is working well with others, "teamwork"

things done as a group, with others.

When in a group situation do you take control?

Or..... do you pull your slack and take charge?

Things like that, give it some thought.

Don't worry, they won't give you a job anyway, once they see your spelling and punctuation.
