How long should I wait for my date to show up before assuming he blew me off?

Hi,

I made plans for a lunch date, and the plan was that he was going to call in the morning to confirm for a 1 pm lunch, and if all was well, we would meet at my place at 1. It is now after 1 and he has not called or shown up. How long do I wait before I decide that he stood me up? If he shows up late, should I still go out with him?

    10 minutes.

But the fact that you didn't receive a call would have been it for me.

Make other plans... you were blown off.

I wouldn't go out with him if he did show up unless there was a really good excuse and in that situation... there never is one. you can always pick up a phone REGARDLESS.... unless he's dead. Then I'd forgive him.

Hang it up sister, he's a no show. He should've called to confirm in the morning if thats what you guys had discussed. And now 1pm has come and gone and still now word, move on! Make other lunch plans. If/when he calls see what his reasons are. If he seems really sincere about it, then do what you feel is right for you.

If you had a 1 o'clock date and he didn't call at least one hour beforehand, I wouldn't go out with him. If this guy hasn't even called you yet, he has stood you up. If he calls later with some lame excuse (unless it actually is a valid excuse), tell him sorry, but he blew it. Don't stand for that - if you do, it will set the tone for the entire relationship. You need to show guys from the very beginning that they need to treat you with kindness and respect. If they screw up with the basics, they shouldn't get another chance.

If he didn't call you in the morning to confirm then it is a pretty safe bet he isn't going to show up. I wouldn't wait.

If the plan was that he was going to call you to confirm and he hasn't...then go home. Quit waiting for him.

When he didn't call in the a.m. to confirm , you were already blown off. What a jerk, and how rude he is!!!
