The Odyssey- please help me!!?
I have to write an essay on why Odysseus from The Odyessy is not a worthy hero. Can anyone give me some reasons why he isn't? I am having some trouble thinking of more than one answer.

First, he's arrogant. This is the reason for his downfall--his pride enrages Poseidon.
Second, he repeatedly endangers the lives of his men out of his own curiosity. Think about what happened on Cyclops' island. And how many of his men made it home alive?
Third, he is unfaithful to his wife. Now, he didn't really have a choice. You cannot refuse a goddess! But nonetheless, he is unfaithful.
Odysseus has several flaws--it's what makes him believable as a character. Nonetheless, I think by virtue of his courage, ingenuity, and skill in battle Odysseus proves he is a hero.
