My hair is blonde, baby fine, and doesn't grow very fast. Help!?

I am getting married in September and would like to grow my hair out some and hopefully get it to thicken up. A couple of years back I went through treatments similar to radiation for a tumor and that is when this all started. Now, I get a good amount of calcium. I take my vitamins. I've tried gelatin tablets. Any other ideas??

Having your hair layered will make it look thicker. Check with a good hair stylist too. They are very knowledgeable about different hair products that can give your hair volume. Best of luck to you!

I have the same problem ! My hair is paper thin and blonde. Except the difference is my hair is bleach blonde and I have a very hard time growing it probably cuz of breakage.

I have read alot of places on the internet that taking prenatal vitamins will boost hair growth. However.. I don't know how much of a good idea it is to take prenatal vitamins if you don't NEED them.

What about extensions ? If you just want the lengthen and thicken it up a bit, you could get just a few weave tracks put it.

This is a quick method and it looks amazing if done properly. It's really not that expensive either ! Most beauticians charge about $15-$35 a track. I think it might be a good solution to your problem. I've gotten weaves done alot and they look great !

Mine fell out when my kids were each 5 months old. You really don't lose any hair when you are pregnant so once your hormones are normal again you lose all the hair you would have lost when you were pregnant. Plus some. The worst part was when it started growing back I had all these little baby hairs sticking up EVERYWHERE, my hair is fine and I could not get them to lie down for anything.

I would start massaging the scalp with some sort of conditioner for about 10 minutes daily just to keep the circulation up. I'm thinking it takes a good while for hair to build its thickness back up after radiation treatments. Keep taking the vitamins and if all else fails you could try extentions but keep in mind they can irritate your scalp and if you want them out they basically have to cut your hair or just let them grow out. I'm not sure who you would go see about hair health, maybe the dermitologist or a respectable salon. Good luck honey!
