Lost AKC Papers and family tree papers?

I recently can’t seem to find my dogs AKC papers nor his mother and father family tree documents. I didn’t have a chance to register my dog in the AKC. With those papers was my contact number for the breeder. I am in a real bind don’t know if this will affect my dog if he would be consider to be shown. Is there anyway I could still register probably not.

Update:

Like I stated I lost the contact number and address with the AKC I have a kinda of an idea where they live I know the city and remeber the main street but dont recall anything else

Update 2:

I paid cash. I have everything written done with the file containg the AKC papers and faily tree. I think I keep the vets number that they got his shoots and tail dock I pretty sure I have that in my new vet file, I hope. Thanks for your help so far.

Update 3:

Like i mention all my papers and even the contracts where with the other papers. I think I might have a way to contact the breeder I will post if I do thank you

Contact AKC http://www.akc.org/ Give them the date of birth of your dog, breed and where you got the dog. They might be able to help you. You can't show an unregistered dog.If you dig deep I bet you'll get your info. You're not the first person this has happened to. Good luck;^)

You never said what breed you have, but try breed clubs in the area where you got your pup. Someone there may know who the breeder is.

Did you not e-mail the breeder at all? Can you not remember his name or the name of the kennel? Do you have a cancelled check you could get a name off of?

Do you know the dog's registered name? If so, there is some hope. Use the link above and contact the AKC to find out exactly what you can do.

Since the breeder did not make you sign extensive contracts I really doubt your dog is show quality, it could be, but doesn't sound like he came from a show breeder.

Neuter him and you can get an ILP number from the AKC if you want to compete in Obedience, Agility, Lure Coursing, Rally, or other performance competitions.

Also make sure you microchip your dog and register that number with the company !

Without the breeder's info, or the litter number or the names of his sire and dam....I think you are out of luck.

If a dog's person registration application has been misplaced, the litter owner need to contact the AKC to request a replica. The litter owner will must put up a reproduction dog Registration software or provide the following: * a brief statement asking for a replica registration application * Litter quantity, breed and date of delivery * Litter owner's title, handle and signature * intercourse of canine the reproduction application is for * $15.00 processing price If the litter quantity is unknown, furnish the following in its position: * Names, registrations numbers, and breed of the sire and dam * Date of birth of the litter a new registration utility can be mailed to the litter proprietor when the request is processed. If you are victorious in doing this, the next move in breeding responsibly is proving the dogs merit via competition or exact working conditions, passing wellness clearances like hips, eyes and heart certifications and discovering the right female who additionally meets the above stated requisites. There are numerous poorly bred dogsin this world, so if it isn't going to be executed thoroughly, it shouldn't be executed at all. In case your canine does not have papers, there is not any viable approach to get them now.

Did you write a check for the dog??? Maybe you can look that up and see who you wrote the check out to. Perhaps contact your vet and see if you told them where and who you got the pup from. I know my vet keeps a record of all new pups and where they came from. Ask other members of your family maybe they remember.

You'll need to get a duplicate registration application filled out:

    http://www.akc.org/pdfs/ADD201.pdf

If you contact the breeder, they can help you out with the information (they may want to do it themselves and have you send them the fee) and a new copy of your contract.

Depending on how late the registration is, there may be extra fees:
