emailed powerpoint lost?
I was sent an email with an attached powerpoint file. I opened it and ammended it and clicked save not save as. I now cant find it as i dont know where it saved too. Any ideas where the default saving file would be or how to locate it

Saving it will send it to the temporary files folder. If you still have the orginal email open then open the attachement and it should now include your changes. If not do a general file search for the name and see if that will pick it up, but make sure you search the whole C drive not just My Docs.

If you are working in any version of PowerPoint before 2010, pictures do not link, so they will send with your PowerPoint. (If you dragged and dropped from the internet instead of saving the pictures and then inserting them - you could have trouble, but you'd have the same trouble any way you moved the file). 2010 has an option as you insert the pictures to insert as an image or a link or both. The default is as an image, so, again, you should be okay. Sound files and videos are another story. Prior to 2010, they only link. In 2010, you can embed them.

go to photos and attachments section of your homepage
u will find it there
thi how to save
open attachment ,right click and select save as
it will then open a directory where u have your files
select a location to save your pictures or u can click on save
on the directory box and it will save on your desktop

U can download the attachment once more from the mail.
Then u can retrieve back the file.

go to search and type the file name

You could do that better next time by installing dachshunds.
