Nope. Criminals don't follow gun control laws, what we need are more serious sentances for crimes comitted with weapons and for distributing weapons to people outside of the legal boundaries.
That being said, I have no problem with more thourough background checks on gun purchasers. I'm a gun owner, I wouldn't have a problem waiting several days to pick up a new gun if I thought it would help bring gun violence down.

poor little jasmeen
darling .... having a gun in ur hand makes it more chaotic then peaceful ... everyone will think they are the kings and pass commands ppl might end up killing each other and having nothing else to do ,,, see Pakistan and Afghanistan ...those guys have large supply of ammunition ... but no peace ... gun should always be with military and not civilians ...
only thing that can control wild emotions is love and restrain urself from harsh words .,...
in my opinion there should never be something called control ... the word itself makes ppl feel they are losing the freedom to do wat they need to do ... ppl have to do something from free will ... give them due respect and participation and they will also contribute to countries development and peace ...
set everyone free and give the responsibility .... these two factors are imp to thing for countries well being ....
ok darling mail u soon
bye

Yes, give people lessons on how to control their gun, as in hitting their target!
Sorry for the sarcasm, but I have been a firearm owner for years, as have many of my friends, have never looked at them as anything but a tool only to be used when necessary.
All of my family members have been versed in the safe handling of weapons, even the grandchildren, they know what a firearm is capable of, and go target shooting with me at least once a year. This takes away the curiosity about firearms.
I don't believe in leaving them lying around though, they only come out at specific times, such as cleaning, target shooting, etc. and only under supervision.

Is it not mind boggling to you, that out of the 32 people killed at VT that no one apparently confronted the guy to stop him? How many people would have been killed had there been one decent person there with a gun? Fewer I believe.
Everyone who legally can, should be carrying a gun. There would be no crime, and much more respect in the world.

NO...pull the NRA handbook and look at all the laws already on the books, now make them in-force the laws and most of the issues we are having today would be solved by jus following what is already there to follow...and remember guns dont kill people...its people killing people....

No . We have too much already. We need more responsibility in raising children so that they don't grow up to be thugs and cowards who use guns the wrong way.
