Converting a shaft drive on a 1982-84 Honda Magna to a Chain Drive.?

I would like to convert my 1982-84 Honda Magna 750 w/ a shaft drive to a Chain drive/belt drive. Are there transmittions available for this option? If so, where do I find? Also; the swing arm is not a problem, I can fabricate another to accomodate. I want more *** end to my bike, like a chopper, 130 or 200, low profile and fat as me.

For you skeptics, Where I live It would be a rare item, worth alot if I can pull this off. Help if you can.

Too goofy an idea for there to be manufatured parts.

You'll have to extend the transmission shaft , make a swing arm and fender, probably a seat and allthe smaller incidental hardware.

You'll end up dumping 3 times what the bike is worth into the project and seriously, you will probably be the only one who thinks it's cool.

If you want a chopper, get a Harley .

Seems you didn't believe me the first time you posted this question. Your transmission is not seperate from your engine like a harley or a victory, so you cannot just change it out to a different model, the cases on your bike hold the oil inside via the seal on driveshaft. Then you have your frame, wheel, with no adjustment slots for a chain. Get an old triumph or sportster if you want to chop it, you can find plenty of after market parts, and you are not starting with a problem.

Source(s): I ride a chopped Harley, Daytec softail frame 38 degree total rake, belt driven, every part is fabricated or aftermarket except engine.

do no longer even get excited approximately that venture, your honda does not have a seperate transmission like a harley, commerce it in for a bike with a chain in case you may no longer stand a driveshaft. And my chopper has a 200mm rear tire and nonetheless no longer considered massive by using todays standards.

Like with anything it could be done but at what cost and how much extra crap would have to be added???? Why would you want to do this? Sorry but it would not increase the price of the bike, probably would decrease it though.
