do you believe in the theory that " you take care of what's important"?
whether is keeping promises, attending a school function, a small child's birthday party, a family event
if it took an hour or 2 of your day, but the excuse was... "I have too much to do" ( something minor that could be postponed) such as, their housework , lawn chores etc
what is your perception of that person's priorities?

Keeping promises, attending a school function and spending time with your family is more important that anything minor that you needs to be done.

Health and family certainly should come before anything else. One should be clear on priorities. Selfishness can interfere with priorities and this can be very problematic. Our responsibilities are usually self designated by daily priorities, such as duties, chores and commitments. What one person perceives to be important for another may not be accurate because they may not know all factors of value. As well, values differ from one person to the next. In my personal opinion, children are the most important value in the world of course! One thing is for sure, common sense tells us that knowing there's only so much time in a day, "too much to do" means, that person has a " perception" problem!

Ann, in an ideal world we would take care of what is important but some times we fail to see that what is important is in need of some help. Example: A marriage - if people were busy taking care of what was important there would not be such a huge divorce rate. I was so busy when my daughter was young taking care of her and trying to raise her "right" that I lost sight of my marriage. So I am guilty of that particular mistake. By the way, my daughter is now 27 years old and I never broke a promise to her-- that says a lot but I am divorced and that too says a lot. If only the world were black and white - it's all those Gray areas that get us!!!!! -k-

Healthcare is a shaggy dog tale besides. as quickly as I had coverage and went to the well being practitioner, they have been some foreign places nitwit that usually had to place bandaids on the difficulty, not truthfully restore it. Millionaires are dying at age 40-50 with multiple coverage and healthcare... why postpone a gaggle of sturdy for not something, jobless scum and unlawful extraterrestrial beings with OUR healthcare purely so as that they might proceed breaking the regulation and bringing our society down...

I think you take care of what is important but there are also times when you neglect what is important. There is never a real reason to do this but if you feel secure in it then sometimes it gets set aside for other things. It is sad but true
