Who Pays For The Surgery of NBA Players? Do They Pay It or Their Team?

I wuz just wondering, bcuz do they pay for the surgery out of their own pockets or does their team handle the bill.

    The team, either directly by paying the doctor or indirectly by providing insurance which pays for the surgery. And that insurance could be like regular health insurance, or it could be workers' comp, depending upon the surgery and circumstances.

    I don't think they have to pay at all. The team doctors are the ones that peform surgery, right?

    If they are under contract at the time of injury, the team pays.
