So you asked a simple question. The answer is he grew up mostly in Hawaii, because that is where his parents met. He went to school in Jakarta from the age of 6-10 and then moved back to Hawaii. His parents divorced when he was 2 I believe. He is a Harvard graduate like his father who was a foreign exchange student.

Does it matter should be the question about the school he attended? I think there are a lot of folks who answer like Glen, the first response you received. But is it logical? How do we equate his father's religion, which is Muslim, to terrorist activity? His father of course passed away years and years ago, when Obama was 20 years old. Anyway it is like saying, if your Muslim, then you must be a terroist. The media pumped up the volume on this "spin" up until last year, and the only reason that has stopped is because the war has become problematic. In another words, Joe and Jane average citizen have grown weary of the war. So the media is now focusing on the election in 2008...so naturally we must get the Muslim=Terrorist connection somewhere so lets start with Obama's deceased father, who was a foreign exchange student who received a graduate degree from Harvard. The reality is it is just about xenophobia, which is just about hate.

No. He did attend a school in Indonesia as a child which was a predominantly Muslim schoo, but they allow all religions to attend. I think it was ABC who actually sent a reporter there to check out the story. It was not a Wahabi school. It was a public school.

This story became ridiculous, because Fox News kept repeating this propaganda, and never checked their sources. Laziness or lying? I don't know.

I dont know about a Wahabi:But as much as I want a Democrat I cannot support and vote for a man whose grandfather was a full-fledged Muslim, and for someone who got his early childrhood education at the hands of Muslim teachers.--No way Hosea---What are we thinking???
