Who else is getting irritated by the 'want-to-be-first-answer' freaks?

Oh yeah, I don't like them at all. When I see that, their answer gets an automatic thumps down.

I've always been irritated by them. That's one reason why I choose ba rather than let the question go to vote. I also make it a habit to not choose these people no matter how good their answer might be.

They do this because they've figured out that most people who vote never read the answers. They just scroll through the questions in voting and click the first answer at the top. All the voters are looking for is that 1 point, and by doing this they are awarding a very poor answer 10 points, or someone who is obviously point gaming 10 points.

I don't play the point game so I do not even notice that. I just give the best answer I can to honest questions...given that most do not want to bother with an answer that may take some space, I try to keep it short.....and occasionaly I slap back at the dumb*** ones.... I very seldom am in the first 10
