Vince Carter traded?

Someone told me that the New Jersey Nets are in the process of trading Vince Carter. No team has been mentioned. Anyone else hear this?

It was mentioned after their loss on tv.

I am sure they are trying to get someone who is younger

and plays within the team concept. do't think there will

    be many takers though.

As a Nets fan, yes there is one, the Nets should trade him to the west. Dallas would be perfect cause they like older overpaid players. All the Nets would ask for is expiring contracts. They wanna make a run for Lebron and maybe Bosh (maybe) in 2010, plus you have Harris, Lopez, and CDR who all have the potential to play well with Lebron and a Bosh. But the Knicks do have MSG, I am a little worried but who knows. But Vince must get traded, you can not rebuild a team with a 31 year old SG that has bad knees as the face of the franchise.

You may want to tell your person to check their sources. There has been no mention of a trade of Vince Carter.

I haven't heard of this and I advise you not to believe that someone unless they are a member of the Nets organization or an NBA executive. People start rumors like this all the time.

how can they be in talks to trade him? he isn't even under contract for them anymore! he's officially a free agent as of the end of Game 6.

I doubt he would resign simply to be trade bait.

no . False. But if by chance (even 1 %) i would like him to be traded to lakers .

That would be nice.. nets deserve someone better who is not a playoff choker

after his lackluster performance in the playoffs, i think the nets will have no hesitation of trading him.
