For all of you who think President Bush screws up everything he touches,?

Will you be more in favor or less in favor of the new senate immigration bill because he endorses it as a good idea. And for those of you who wonder why this is in politics rather than in immigration, I am wondering about the people who support/don’t support the President and not about the bill.

All I know is we have to do something about the present situation in regards to illegals.

The average citizen will not put up with too much more, they will in turn make it THE issue on the upcoming election, I for one think we should allow some who have been here working paying taxes and that have children, those who have truly integrated into American society, to become legal citizens.

On the other hand those who have recenlty moved here will have to wait, there is only so much our current system can put up with.

Of bigger concern is still how protected are we?

Went to the movies last night and forgot a diaper bag for my daughter, went back into the theatre and thought no one checked this or had a second thought to what is in this bag.

We are doomed, we are so wide open that it is only a matter of time.

He even took us for a tour thru Microsoft, all this from a guy the Feds and the state dept want Canada to extradite him back here.

Scary shiit, even my kids loved him.

    We are in deep trouble.

Come on, I think Bush screws up everything he touches do you really think I am going to favor the bill because he endorses it?

Here is the fix for Illegals let them serve four years in the military to gain amnesty.

Honestly, the Presidents' position has no affect on my personal views of the bill. I have mixed opinions about his Presidency - some things I've liked, some things I haven't. Now, I disagree with the current bill, and disagree with Bush's support of it, but I don't disagree with the bill based on his backing of it. I disagree with it because I don't think it'll work, and I think its a bunch of lip service, and because I think it goes against the majority opinion of Americans.

I never supported Bush. I am suspicious of anything he endorses. His own party is divided over this bill and it has some Democratic sponsorship - Unlike his attack on Habeas Corpus in the MCA, or his support of torture, or his habit of appointing loyal but incompetent people to key posts.

Most of what he as done is wrong or plain stupid.

The bill is 700 pages long and he has endorsed it before even his handlers have had a chance to read it.

So, I would have to sick with undecided as to whether I favor it or not.

I would never support or oppose a bill just because Bush has an opinion one way or the other on it; he has given me no reason believe that his opinion is worth anything.

I do not think the president "screws up everything he touches." I do not like his position on illegal immigration, however.

And I think the Democrats are playing dirty pool to shove this amnesty bill on the US.

Look for Republicans to oppose it.

  • I voted for Bush and I am opposed to the bill. I've also written and told him so.

I don't support him.We can't even take care of our own people and he is letting more come here. That's just not right.

I think he blew any credibility he had when he went into Iraq on faulty intelligence. That will be his legacy and anything that happens from here on out is irrelevant.
