What part of this do Mexicans disagree with?

I am a Mexican and American citizen and a politician is a politician. They are all out for themselves as God. I would rather trust a wolf than a politician. What American needs to know is that no matter how much money is poured into Mexico to "fight the war on drugs" it will never work. SO - stop sending the money. It doesn't get to where it needs to go anyway, it just lines the pockets of some government official or officials. Personal knowledge is that the Federales are the biggest drug dealers there. Second of all, in a sense Calderon is right in saying that there is too much racisim in America. Americans forget that their ancestors came from somewhere else too. Just because they are blond and blue eyed (Hitler complex) doesn't mean that because someone is different they do not have the same value as a human being. And for the person that answered about Mexicans sending money home, yes it does help the Mexican economy when a family is supported from someone with a job and not left to starve or die. But, you must also realize that a lot of men come over here that have families down there and forget about them. So, there's no money fluctuating there. Right now, the way things are the US is out there all alone. It has minimal support from it's former allies. A lot of Americans are also not as American as they should be either. Where are they in defending their country. Have they enlisted. ARE YOU? .

That's such an exaggeration. Yes, I agree that some of these schools are the worst in the country but that's not going to change by not allowing immigrants to come here. Don't you realize that illegal immigrants are coming here in record numbers because of republican immigration policies? When Clinton was president, Mexicans came here (normally a dad or older brother), made some money, and went BACK to Mexico to start a business and buy a home for the whole family. Since a repuke took over office, the laws changed dramatically. Now, Mexicans come here with their whole families because they know they can't go back and forth anymore. So, all the repukes have done is created more illegal immigrants. Don't blame the illegal immigrants; blame your government..........

I have to admit that being an illegal myself, I agree on some of your points. However, I don't think its fair that you make a generalization based on one state. Besides are you saying that these schools only give free this, and free that to illegals? I live in Chicago and I can assure you that every Chicago Public School gives out free breakfast, free lunches regardless of what race, color or legal status these students are. Are some of these students unappreciative when it comes to their education? Yes, and there is no excuse, yet when these students whether illegal or not live in poverty, where in order to make a descent living their parents are at work all day, they are left alone. And while free food is great, they are growing up and raising themselves, and this can very well lead to bad influences, hence graffiti in your precious computers. Seems to me that you shouldn't be teaching anything w/ this negative attitude. At the rate this country is going those kids might very well be your future and rather than spreading hate and negative things about these kids, you as a teacher should help guide them into a better direction. Most of these illegal kids you speak about didn't even chose to come here. It seems to me you are complaining about free lunches, seriously???

If successive US governments had not allied themselves with the white elites in Latin America, all those immigrants would have obtained a good education in their countries of origin and wouldn't be so unfit, wasteful and unruly.

But you only cared about you benefit, and it was convenient for you to keep the masses of people of color from Mexico to Chile ignorant, and to keep individuals like Fox, Pinochet, Videla, Perez, Fujimori, etc. in power.

Those individuals sold to you the resources you wanted "for cheap," while keeping their own populations ignorant. Generation after generation of disregard by their own governments created a massive class of people who lacked education, and even intelligence, because of the limitted stimuli and nutrition while growing up.

And now, they have come home to roost! How great is justice, how inexorable is karma.

The Emporer needs to get a few facts straight. It was Ted Kennedy, back in 1968, again in 1984, and once again now, who is the lead sponser behind these amnesty for illegal immigrants. True, there has been less enforcement under the Bush adminstration than under Bill Clinton, I don't like it, but I admit a fact when it is there before me. The laws were not changed under Bush, though he is trying now.

All this amnesty bill will do is increase the number of illegals crossing our borders looking for jobs or handouts and establishing residence here. I can't blame them, if I was there, I would want to come here too. Fine and jail those who employ illegals and the problem will go away.

The Mexicans who have been invading and colonizing our country don't give a damn about what is best for the U.S. As long as they can find employment, and send billions of dollars back to their home, they will keep coming. We must stop this Senate amnesty bill from becoming law! It is an amnesty bill because it let's almost all illegal aliens to stay in our country except those with long criminal records.

Up until last year I ran my school's ESL program. We were in a rat infested school with only free lunch that was esentially fat on a piece of cardboard. We did receive extra funding which was spent for things like books and other resources that were essential.

There are a lot of things that go into that behavior. Go spend sometime in a heavy immigrant neighborhood, you might get better perspective.

Why is that half these posts tell immigrants to learn English, but when people try to teach English that is also wrong??

here is my solution, anyone who wants to a member of the united states that are foreign born, and between the ages of 18 and 45 need to join the army or marines. i'm in the army as we speak, so i dont want to hear any lip about myself joining the army. onward, if they really want to be here, let them earn it, then they can be over demanding on crap. all those dirt bag gang members need to join the army too. be a real man, not one who does stupid drive by shootings.

Okay, if only your words could be spread out throughout the United States of America and her legal citizens.
