STOP WITH THE MADDIE BASHING!! I am so angry!!!?

I don't think that anyone is denying that Madeleine going missing is terrible and they hope she is found safe.

But at the same time, her parents should not have left her alone and there is something very strange about what is going on now, i.e. with all the donations etc.

Nobody here is stating that there should be less coverage of this story and more of frivolous celebrity gossip. That is nonsense.

What a lot of people here object to is the whole 'Team McCann' BUSINESS. Yes, a business, which has been set up with managers and funded by the public sense of goodwill without really understanding what they are paying for.

This has long since ceased to be solely about a missing child. This has become a grotesque twist of a genuinely upsetting story into something very distasteful. Can you honestly look at the behaviour of these people, both before and after their daughter was taken (as a result of their negligence no less) and say that it is appropriate?

What makes her more special than all the thousands of other missing kids? And what about the people who are still going to be homeless, starving and suffering from incurable diseases when they find her? I'm not saying it isn't tragic what has happened to her but there are other things happening out there. The fact that the media are this close to telling us that her mother has just taken a pee is too much. Also, why are you calling her Maddy like you know her? That's something that 's really annoying me.

And I am angry that all the other children who have gone missing since Madeleine are being ignored because of the media circus stirred up by her family to cover their negligence.

Her disappearance is sad but it is no worse than all the other children that have gone missing. It is just because of her background that it such a big deal. I care as much about those who have gone missing since.

You have a point the arguments about the negligence of the parents is pointless they made a mistake and are probably rife with guilt and well as grief . The real villain or villains are the scum who took her possibly to feed a perverts addiction. Yes there are other children missing and the parents might be wealthy so we judge the child's family's wealth do we? How sick can people get using class politics to judge the importance of finding a four year old girl ? beggars belief.

Thank you, thank you! I agree with you 100% We need to be putting every effort possible into finding not only this child but every child who falls into the clutches of these depraved beings. If someone can think this isn't a top priority what sadness does this speak about our society?
