Firefox v IE6?

After installing Firefox - a good browser I will add - I want to know how to make IE6 my default browser. If its a registry issue that's fine - I can cope with it. But when ever I uninstall Firefox and try my favs in IE I get error msg: application not found!

If you have uninstalled FireFox and now want IE back, you will have to enable it again. Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and when the list loads, on the left click on Add/Remove Windows Components. When that list loads, find Internet Explorer and put a checkmark by it. Close the control panel and restart the computer for the change to take effect.

If you open IE6, Go to Tools - Internet Options.

Under the Programs Tabsheet you are able to click a button "make default" to make IE your default browser again.

Actually you are able to run both IE6 and Firefox simultanuously, so there is no need to uninstall Firefox.

You can have IE6 as your default and use Firefox sometimes as well. That's why I am doing. I prefer Firefox, but some websites don't work very well on Firefox, so I have IE6 as my secondary (non-default) browser.

    Hope this helps!
