Do you think England is overrated as a football power?

I don't think any sensible England fan thinks that England are 'Kings' or Europe. Certainly Germany and Italy have a better pedigree in International football.

But, on the other hand, we are consistently in the top 10 of FIFA's world rankings so that whenever a major tournament comes around, there is a realistic hope that England are one of the many teams that could potentially win it.

The main problem that England have had for as long as I can remember, is that their International squad has had no strength in depth. If a few key players get injured or suspended, there is no one there to plug the gap.

But, at full strength, with the right pride, passion and tactics England are capable of beating anybody.

I agree, I would think of: Italy, France, Brazil, and Germany as the real powerhouses of football.

The thing is that English teams already carrie import italian, brazilian, and other foreign players, and they have been soooo good in the soccer league games, not necesarily in the world cup. It´s like putting the best players of the world and one good coach and you have a league team that is amazing.

The thing is that almost all English players usually have hard and exhausting seasons and have no power left for their national team.

As an Englishman I'm sorry to say yes.

England are only overrated by themselves.
