Dying my hair blonde?
I'm wanting to dye my hair blonde. It's normally dark blonde, but right now it's more brown, because I colored it a few months ago. Am I going to have to bleach it and then color it? Or can I just go to the beauty store and get some hair color? A few years ago, it was blonde and I just went and got the color to keep it up. I'm not sure if I should do it differently now that I've dyed it brown. Thanks!

Because you dyed your hair brown, it will be alot different than when it was blond and you could go and pick up your usual color. You could get very unnatural hues and alot of damage trying to fix it. I would pay the extra $$$ & go to the salon until all the dyed hair has grown out. If you MUST do it at home, I reccomend using a highlighting cap (yes, it is archaic and complicated, but it gives alot of control) and go more sublte until you have more healthy new growth!

Most likely you will have to bleach in first and then add a toner to get the color you want. I would go to a professional beauty supply store and ask their advice.

Go to the salon girl! It always looks better and it healthier for your hair if you get it done professionally. Good luck!
